Ethiope Development Initiative Foundation Leads Awareness Campaign on FGM, Cancer, and Gender-Based Violence at Abraka Market

In observance of the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), the Ethiope Development Initiative Foundation, in collaboration with the Delta State Ministry of Health, organized a comprehensive awareness campaign at Abraka Market, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State.


The initiative, spearheaded by Activist Goodluck Wisdom, Executive Director of the Ethiope Development Initiative Foundation, sought to educate market women and community members on the dangers of FGM, cancer awareness, and the urgent need to prevent violence against women and girls.


Key aspects of the campaign included:


Sensitization on the severe health risks and human rights violations associated with FGM


Education on cancer prevention, emphasizing early detection and proactive healthcare measures


Advocacy against gender-based violence, highlighting the importance of protecting the rights and dignity of women and girls


The event reinforced the commitment of the Ethiope Development Initiative Foundation and its partners to fostering a safer, healthier, and more informed society.
