COMMEMORATING WORLD AIDS DAY & DAY 8 OF 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE Civil Society for HIV and AIDS in Nigeria (CISHAN), Ethiope East chapter, led by Activist Goodluck Wisdom, Executive Director of Ethiope Development Initiative Foundation, partnered with the Nigeria Red Cross Society to promote HIV/AIDS awareness in Abraka, Ethiope East LGA, Delta State. Activist Goodluck Wisdom emphasized the urgent need to end all forms of gender-based violence, stating, "Violence against women, such as rape, lack of empowerment, and inadequate health services, serves as a vehicle driving the HIV/AIDS epidemic." Let's unite to end gender-based violence against women, a crucial step in combating HIV/AIDS, especially mother-to-child transmission.

Chief Augustine Ogedegbe's tenure as Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, marked by transformative projects and initiatives. Key Achievements: Hon. Ogedegbe's notable accomplishments include: 1. _Infrastructure Development_: New Access Road, Customary Court Road completion, and grading of Mission Road, Egbage Street, Crowell Street, Lucky Ejenake Street, and Yung Esiekpe Street in Isiokolo. 2. _Security Enhancements_: New Model Security House, Security Gates construction, and Security Gate at Customary Court Road. 3. _Aesthetic Improvements_: Council Secretariat Front view Beautification, Solar power Street Lights, and Secretariat Fence painting. 4. _Environmental Cleanup_: Evacuation of Heap of Refuse Dump at Abraka Main Market.
